A Special Day All for the Bride-to-Be
As the big day approaches, it is a good idea to start to plan a very
special day for the Bride-to-Be, the bridal shower. If you are the Maid
of Honor, then it is normally your job to throw a bridal shower.
There are a lot of ways you can go with the Bridal shower, it is a good
idea to go with a theme. Depending on when the wedding will be or where
the bridal shower will be taking place, there are a lot of great ways
that you can go with this.
Spring:
Throw a pink party. Have everything done in a shade of pink. This is
especially great if the bride likes the color pink. You can have tons
of fun with this.
How about making it an easter themed bridal shower, you can use easter
decorations to make the event colorful and fun. By picking a theme for
the event, it will help your imagination run. You can also get some
friends involved in helping you decorate for this special day.
Does the bride have a favorite flower that blooms in the spring time?
You can use this as a theme idea. Perhaps even host the event in a
garden that is filled with flowers all around, however, use the bride's
favorite flower as table centerpieces and focal points around the main
part of the event.
Summer:
Similar to Spring, you can use nature around you to come up with some
wonderful ideas. Favorite flowers are a great way to go. You can also
attempt to go with favorite color as well in the flowers. This will
help create the event to be more specialized for the bride.
How about a sports themed bridal shower? If the bride likes a certain
sport, you can run with this. Decorate up a room in your home that is
themed in nothing but the brides favorite sport, or take it one step
further and see about finding her favorite sports team items. You can
decorate with all sorts of items from a sports team, from shirts
hanging on the wall, hats, table decorations and more. You will be
amazed at what you can find for certain sports. However, it can be
rather difficult if you can't find certain sports, you can simply find
items in the colors for that particular team, or of course go back to
the standard of using a color that the bride likes.
A good place to host a sports themed bridal shower may be a sports bar,
some of them may even have a room available for just such an occasion,
they could even help in the assistance of decorations for this special
time.
Fall:
Oh what a great time of year, the leaves are changing on the trees. Run
with this, you can have a garden party with the changing leaves. Maybe
even plan to host the bridal party up in a mountainous area if you have
one near by, you can go to a special park, camp ground site to set up
for an event like this. Make it even more fun by creating a slumber
party of sorts out of it. In the woods. Either see about renting tents
or a couple r.v.s for just such a party. Make sure you have a place for
everyone to sleep. Then let nature be your theme by camping out the
girlfriends way. Yes, that means bring a little more then you normally
would when the men are around.
Spooky time. If you are hosting a bridal shower close to Halloween, run
with a them that is filled with ghosts, witches, pumpkins and more. You
might even be able to find a haunted house to host the party in. There
are typically a lot of charitable places in most towns that have
haunted houses, you can contact the manager and see if they can help
you to host this special event.
Winter:
As everyone knows, this time of year is quite simple when it comes to
hosting a bridal shower. With the wonderful cold winter and the holiday
decorations, you know that you can actually run with a holiday themed
party, most people have their homes already decorated for the holidays,
so this will make it a lot easier on you to manage everything.
What ever you do, make sure you have lots of fun and have lots of fun making the bride feel special.
